Network physio to talk at the AACP Conference

Practice Partner at The Physiotherapy Clinic in Warrington, Phillip Burke, will be sharing his knowledge and expertise at this year’s Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists conference.

Philip, who has over 25 years of experience in physiotherapy helping people to regain the use of their body after an injury or illness, will talk directly to practitioners about delivering techniques, experience and practical advice on acupuncture and manual therapy for the sporting shoulder.

The two day conference will run from Saturday 18th - 19th May 2013, near Reading, and will focus on integrating acupuncture with the manual treatments of physiotherapy.

Philip said: ‘‘These are good times in physiotherapy; Chartered physiotherapists are pushing ahead. Treatments such as acupuncture are becoming more valued as an effective and proven pain relief therapy, especially when combined with traditional physical care such as manipulation, mobilisation and massage.’’

Phillip will be presenting ‘Acupuncture and Manual Therapy for the Sporting Shoulder - the real world approach’ from 1.30pm to 4.45pm on Saturday afternoon.
