Employees are guaranteed to speak to our triage team within four hours of being referred and will be assessed within three days, with a maximum of 30 minutes travel time if they need hands-on treatment.
At Physio Med we believe healthy employees means healthy profits and so we do whatever it takes to provide the best service and allow you to get on with running your business. You will have a dedicated relationship manager, we deliver bespoke, business-relevant management information and our directors are always available to help when needed.
PAL - our innovative Physiotherapy Advice Line - delivers quick, evidence-based, expert intervention and advice from senior Chartered Physiotherapists. Our Portal is a vital part of our service. It coordinates the efforts of everybody involved, your Occupational Health Team and managers, the physiotherapists, our Clinical Governance Team and the Relationship Managers who are making everything tick with a minimum amount of fuss.
It records all events and provides the management information we require for maximising the impact of all our contracts.
The Portal gives us the opportunity to work in real time, speed up our information flow and enhance our decision-making capability within a very safe and secure environment.
As shown below, the Portal is an ISO 27001 certified Cloud based tool, which is integrated to allow us to:
It uses a "2 Factor Authentication" process to enable access to all users giving Central Government and NHS level security standards.
The Portal application is regularly penetration tested by a third party and the data is stored on an AES-256 encrypted disk storage system.
Access to the internal systems is via secure shell only and a limited number of technicians access the backend server through a Cisco ASA firewall using 2048 bit SSH keys. Inside the systems, databases are protected by additional passwords.
Our Clinical Governance framework and policy is in-line with the Healthcare Commission, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Code of Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council guidelines and underpins everything that we do and is driven by our Governance Team.
Clinical governance is defined as:
"A framework through which healthcare organisations are accountable for continually improving the quality of their services and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care will flourish."
There are three key attributes to clinical governance:
Clinical governance refers to the structures, processes and systems in place in an organisation to manage the quality of service provision. This framework needs to be appropriate to each organisation, and this policy sets out the Physio Med approach.
There are seven key elements to clinical governance, which are outlined below, along with the mechanisms in use in the company/Network to deliver each of the elements, and the expectations that are placed on partners, clinicians and staff within the company/Network:
Clinical Governance in Physio Med is central to all our working practices across the whole business and it allows us to guarantee our Values are in place and Standards are always high.
We have a specific Management Information (MI) Policy which has two distinct parts:
The gathering of information that drives our MI reports comes from 3 different areas:
Exploiting the information gives:
We also routinely report contract performance (KPI's etc.), issues/complaints raised and satisfaction surveys to our Board.
