Physio Med has secured a seven-figure, three year contract with the John Lewis Partnership to provide physiotherapy services to its 84,500 employees.
Physio Med, which provides physiotherapy services to major organisations and companies across the UK, has created five new jobs at its Leeds headquarters as a result of the contract, which covers all employees – known as partners - of the John Lewis Partnership and Waitrose.
The John Lewis Partnership (JLP) was keen to offer all partners consistent and timely access to physiotherapy services, in order to help reduce the incidence, duration and recurrence of musculoskeletal injuries and associated sickness absence. The retail giant was impressed by Physio Med’s innovative, and award winning, PAL (Physiotherapy Advice Line) service which provides fast access to advice and treatment.
Partners that report an injury via the JLP Health Hub receive a triage call from Physio Med within four hours, followed by an initial assessment call in the next three working days to decide if they require face-to-face treatment or can self-manage their condition through the PAL service with the aid of personalised treatment plans, exercises and advice. JLP partners who require face-to-face treatment can access an on-site physiotherapy service or be referred to one of 780 hand-picked practices across the Physio Med network.
