Specifically looking at the environment, biomechanics, and equipment. Recommendations on how reasonable adjustments can be implemented, and costs involved.

Workplace assessment

Assessor and patient attend the workplace/station/vehicle (please note a private area for part of the assessment is required).

Time Required

Depending on the complexity of the requirements an ergonomic assessment can take between 1 and 3 hours.

Overall report turnaround time: Within 10 working days

These reports often require advice on actual adaptations. We will offer sensible suggestions taking your existing suppliers into account.

Each Ergonomic assessment generates a report and recommendations.

Report suitable for

  • Work station assessment
  • Long term management of the patient’s biomechanics
  • Opinion on suitability of workplace/station
  • Modification of workstation (including permanent changes)

Report NOT suitable for

  • Medico legal cases
  • Patient condition (including diagnosis, prognosis and management)
  • Hazardous workplaces

Referral Guidance

  • The patient must have a physical problem centred around a work task/role
  • Specific workplace (include location, access, environment, role)
  • Please state any questions that you would like answered e.g. is the chair suitable for this patient or is the machine the correct height for this patient.
  • A job role and description of the ‘real world’ requirements/needs of the service is beneficial
  • Include any other relevant medical information that is known
